Begin in Rio de Janeiro, with time to see iconic sights including Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain, before travelling to the spectacular Iguazú Falls, where you’ll explore both the Brazilian and Argentine sides.

The wildlife focus then really begins in the Pantanal, staying for three nights at a wildlife lodge with full-board accommodation and guided safaris. This is one of South America’s premier wildlife regions, with opportunities to encounter jaguars, capybaras, giant anteaters, tapirs, caiman, colourful hyacinth macaws and an incredible variety of birdlife. 

From the wetlands, head into the Amazon Rainforest for a two-night jungle-lodge experience, with guided excursions exploring the forest and waterways. The journey then takes a cultural turn in Salvador, where colourful colonial streets and Afro-Brazilian heritage provide a fascinating contrast to the country’s natural landscapes.

Finally, slow the pace with three nights at Praia do Forte, enjoying the beaches and tropical coastline before returning home.
