🐾 Meet Royal Caribbean’s Chief Dog Officers

Royal Caribbean has taken the idea of family-friendly cruising to a whole new level — by giving some very special four-legged crew members their own official title: Chief Dog Officer (CDO). 🐶⚓

Their job? Quite simply, to spread joy! From greeting guests and meeting crew members to exploring their ships, posing for photos and enjoying plenty of cuddles, these pups are there to make holidays even more memorable. They’re specially trained for life at sea and travel with their own Chief of Staff to make sure they’re happy, healthy and well cared for.

🐶 Meet the CDO team

🐾 Rover — Icon of the Seas
The original Chief Dog Officer! Rover joined Icon of the Seas in 2024 and quickly became one of the ship’s most-loved crew members. She enjoys walks around the ship, beach days at Perfect Day at CocoCay, playing fetch and, naturally, plenty of attention from guests.

⭐ Sailor — Star of the Seas
Sailor followed in Rover’s paw prints, joining Star of the Seas in 2025. A friendly, playful and curious pup, Sailor loves exploring the ship — including her regular strolls through Central Park.

⚓ Skipper — Legend of the Seas
The third member of the CDO crew, Skipper joined the brand-new Legend of the Seas in 2026. She’s carrying on the tradition of bringing smiles and a little bit of home to guests and crew as the ship sails her Mediterranean and Caribbean adventures.

💗 Dolly — Hero of the Seas
And now there’s a fourth! Dolly has been chosen as the name of the newest Chief Dog Officer, who will join Hero of the Seas when she makes her debut in August 2027. The name was selected following a fan vote and has already captured plenty of hearts. 🥹🐶💗

🐾 Four ships. Four furry officers. Plenty of smiles.

Whether you’re sailing with Rover, Sailor, Skipper or Dolly, there’s now another very good reason to keep your eyes open while exploring Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class ships.

Because sometimes the most memorable crew member has four paws and a wagging tail. 🐾❤️
