Bond in Greece
🇬🇷 Greece: For Your Eyes Only
Greece provided one of the most memorable settings for For Your Eyes Only, taking Bond from the turquoise coastline of Corfu to the extraordinary rock formations of Meteora. The 1981 film was partly shot in Corfu, Kalambaka and Meteora, combining island scenery, winding mountain roads and dramatic monasteries.
From the streets and coastline around Corfu Town and Kanoni to the spectacular Meteora sequence, Greece gives you a Bond journey with a distinctly Mediterranean feel. And then there’s the wonderfully unexpected star of the Corfu chase — Melina’s yellow Citroën 2CV, which became the setting for a seven-minute chase filmed over 12 days.
But beyond the film locations, there’s a Greece waiting to be explored: beautiful beaches, historic towns, olive groves, Greek cuisine, island life and landscapes that are every bit as cinematic as they appear on screen.

🇬🇷 Beyond Bond
You don’t have to follow 007 all the way to the end of the chase. Greece offers plenty of reasons to stay a little longer.
In Corfu, swap Bond’s adventures for lazy beach days, sailing trips, traditional villages, olive groves and the elegant streets of Corfu Town. Explore the coastline by boat, discover hidden coves, or simply settle into the relaxed rhythm of island life.
Further inland, Meteora offers a completely different experience. Towering rock pillars, centuries-old monasteries and spectacular mountain scenery create one of Greece’s most extraordinary landscapes — and a world away from the beaches of Corfu.

And of course, there’s the food. 🇬🇷 From fresh seafood and Greek salads to local cheeses, olive oil, grilled specialities and long lunches in village tavernas, food is very much part of the journey.
Whether you want island-hopping, sailing, culture, food, beaches or dramatic landscapes, Greece can be far more than a Bond location.
Follow 007 for the inspiration — then make the rest of Greece your own. 🐸🇬🇷
