🐼 Wildlife, landscapes & unforgettable experiences
For wildlife lovers, one of the highlights is a visit to Chengdu’s Panda Conservation Centre, where you’ll see giant pandas in surroundings designed to mirror their natural habitat and learn about the centre’s breeding programme.
But the wildlife encounter is just one part of the story.
At Zhangjiajie National Park, more than 3,000 sandstone pillars rise dramatically from misty subtropical forests. You’ll experience the landscape from above and below, including the remarkable Bailong glass elevator, a scenic cable-car ride and a cruise on turquoise Lake Baofeng.
The journey then continues to Tianmen Mountain, where a spectacular cable-car ride leads to Tianmen Cave and the exhilarating glass Walk of Faith.
🚢 The Yangtze River
Another major highlight is a three-night Yangtze River cruise, travelling through the magnificent Three Gorges.
Enjoy spectacular river scenery, shore excursions and a boat trip along the scenic Goddess Stream before visiting the Three Gorges Dam.
🍜 A taste of China
Food and local culture are woven throughout the journey too. Enjoy a Peking duck dinner in Beijing, a dumpling feast accompanied by a Tang Dynasty dancing show in Xi’an, a beer tasting in Chengdu and classic Shanghainese cuisine in Shanghai.
You’ll also visit a traditional Chengdu tea house and experience the history and customs surrounding China’s famous tea culture.
