🎬 Venice — Bond’s City of Canals
Venice has appeared in Bond films including From Russia with Love, Moonraker and Casino Royale. In Casino Royale, Bond and Vesper arrive in Venice, leading to the film’s dramatic finale inside a collapsing palazzo.

🎰 Lake Como — Casino Royale
Lake Como provides one of the most beautiful Bond backdrops. In Casino Royale, Bond recuperates at Villa del Balbianello, before the story returns to the lake near Villa La Gaeta.

🚗 Lake Garda — Quantum of Solace
The opening car chase of Quantum of Solace hurtles through the roads and tunnels around Lake Garda, with Bond’s Aston Martin pursued by Alfa Romeos. The production spent ten days filming around the lake before moving on to Carrara.

🐎 Siena — The Palio & the Rooftops
In Quantum of Solace, Bond races through the crowds during Siena’s famous Palio horse race, before the chase takes him across the city’s rooftops. The Palio footage was filmed separately because the real race takes place just once a year.

🏛️ Matera — No Time to Die
Matera provided one of the spectacular settings for No Time To Die. Bond and Madeleine arrive in southern Italy, with the city’s ancient streets, dramatic cliffs and stone dwellings becoming the backdrop for an unforgettable DB5 sequence.

🇮🇹 Rome — Spectre
Rome became a Bond location for the first time in Spectre (2015), with the Eternal City providing the backdrop for one of the film’s most memorable sequences. Bond travels to Rome to attend the funeral of SPECTRE operative Marco Sciarra before infiltrating a secret SPECTRE meeting.
Once Bond’s presence is discovered, he escapes in the Aston Martin DB10, pursued by Hinx in a Jaguar C-X75. The resulting night-time chase races through historic streets, past the Colosseum and along the River Tiber, with the cars even descending the Scala de Pinedo steps.
For Bond fans, Rome offers the chance to combine Spectre locations with some of Italy’s greatest sights — from ancient Roman landmarks and grand piazzas to the Vatican, fountains, food and the atmospheric streets of the historic centre.
