Unique Beachfront Villa in Rhodes

Rhodes
Rhodes is one of Greece’s most diverse islands, combining beautiful beaches, fascinating history and a wonderfully relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. As the largest of the Dodecanese Islands, it’s a destination that appeals to couples, families and anyone looking to enjoy a classic Greek island holiday.
I stayed in the resort of Pefkos, a laid-back coastal village on the island’s south-east coast. With its sandy beaches, crystal-clear water and relaxed pace of life, it was the perfect place to unwind while still being within easy reach of other parts of the island.
One thing that made this holiday a little different was that it was the first time I’d ever booked an all-inclusive holiday. While it was lovely having everything included, after a few days I realised I was missing one of my favourite parts of travelling—discovering local cafés and traditional Greek tavernas. So I headed out to explore and soon found myself enjoying authentic Greek food and the warm hospitality that makes Greece so special.
Beyond its beach resorts, Rhodes is famous for its rich history, impressive medieval architecture and beautiful coastline. Whether you’re interested in relaxing by the sea, exploring ancient sites, taking boat trips or simply enjoying long evenings in a traditional taverna, there’s plenty to discover across the island.
Food lovers are particularly well catered for, with family-run tavernas serving fresh seafood, grilled meats, local cheeses, olives and delicious meze. For me, those meals became one of the highlights of the trip and reminded me why I always enjoy venturing beyond the hotel.
Rhodes offers a wonderful balance of relaxation and exploration, making it an excellent choice whether you’re looking for a beach holiday, a family escape or a chance to experience authentic Greek island life. It’s an island that proves some of the best travel memories are often found just beyond the hotel gates.
