Having travelled to the USA several times myself, I know just how diverse this amazing country is.
My first visits centred around my love of Elvis Presley, taking me from his birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi, to Graceland in Memphis, before continuing to the bright lights of Las Vegas and the beaches of Los Angeles. On my second Elvis-inspired adventure I returned to Memphis before enjoying the magic of Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood, and ending the trip in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Kauai.
Years later, after spending almost three weeks exploring Cuba, I arrived in Miami by air before discovering the colourful atmosphere of Miami Beach and taking a bus tour all the way to Key West. The journey finished with a brief but unforgettable stop in New York City, where I wandered through Times Square, relaxed in Central Park, and visited the touching Strawberry Fields memorial to John Lennon. By an incredible coincidence, exactly one week earlier I had stood beside Havana’s own John Lennon memorial in Cuba—a travel memory I’ll never forget.
