Our proposed itinerary includes a city tour featuring Chorsu Bazaar, a visit to Amir Timur Square and the Khast Imam Complex, including the Moyie Mubarek Library Museum. You’ll also have the opportunity to discover traditional Uzbek craftsmanship during a pottery class and ceramic studio visit.

Samarkand — The jewel of the Silk Road
Few places capture the magic of the Silk Road quite like Samarkand. Once a great centre of trade, learning and culture, this remarkable city is famed for its monumental Islamic architecture, intricate mosaics and dazzling turquoise domes.

Discover the magnificent Registan Square, the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum and the beautifully decorated necropolis of Shah-i-Zinda. You’ll also explore the historic Siob Bazaar and Ulugbek’s Observatory, connecting the city’s architectural wonders with its extraordinary scientific heritage.

Beyond the landmarks, Samarkand offers opportunities to experience living traditions. The itinerary includes a handmade paper workshop, a plov cooking demonstration and family visit, plus a visit to the Afrasiab Museum. These experiences reveal the craftsmanship, cuisine and culture that make Uzbekistan so distinctive.

Bukhara — Step back into the medieval Silk Road
Bukhara is a city made for wandering. Its atmospheric old town is filled with ancient mosques, imposing minarets, trading domes and narrow streets that evoke its centuries as an important Silk Road trading centre.

Explore the mighty Ark Fortress, the Kalon Minaret and Mosque, the Chor Minor and the historic Lyabi-Hauz complex. Along the way, discover traditional trading domes such as Taki Zargaron, where merchants once traded jewellery and other goods.

The included experiences also offer a creative glimpse into Uzbek culture, with a miniature painting workshop alongside visits to historic mausoleums, the Bolo Hauz Complex and the elegant Sitora-i Mokhi Hosa Palace, the former summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir.

Khiva — An ancient walled city
Step inside the ancient walls of Khiva and discover one of Central Asia’s most atmospheric historic cities. Its maze of lanes, towering minarets, richly decorated palaces and traditional madrasas create the feeling of entering another era.

At the heart of the city lies Itchan Kala, the historic walled inner town. Explore the striking Kalta Minor Minaret, the Juma Mosque with its forest of carved wooden columns, the impressive Islam Khoja Minaret and Madrasa, and the historic Kunya Ark fortress.

The itinerary also includes visits to Tash-Hovli Palace, the Muhammad Rahim-khan and Muhammad Amin-khan madrasas, and time to enjoy the city at sunset. A Khorezmian cuisine cooking class adds a delicious local dimension to the experience.
