Why did I start my own travel business?
The answer is simple really, I love and am obsessed with travel.
Strangely it was travel that helped me through the pandemic. You might think that is a weird thing to say, as we couldn’t travel through much of it. Travel though, stays with you no matter how long ago you travelled. I have the most fantastic memories of where I have been and amazing dreams of where I have not been (yet).
When I travel I love value for money and getting the most of being where I am. In some places I do simply just enjoy being there (such as Santorini) but in other places I travel to as many places as I can, in the time I have. Recently I was invited on a FAM trip. This is when Travel Agents are given an opportunity to experience a destination, hotel or cruise to familiarise themselves with it. This enables us to share that experience with you. We (Travel Agents) can give you honest, hands on feedback about what we have experienced. This hopefully, gives you the confidence to take that step and contact us to book your very own experience based on what you have seen.
My FAM trip was with a supplier I have admired for several years, so when Intrepid invited me on their small group to to Morocco on the first Premium trip there, I was delighted. The above photo was taken at one of the feature stays accommodation. (I will be doing a blog post on that trip at some point).
I will happily travel anywhere and so far this year, as well as Morocco, I was able to attend another FAM trip with CroisiEurope thanks to Merlin Travel group, who I work with. This was a river cruise down the Danube. This is something I had wanted to for a while and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The great thing about the river cruise is that they dock in the centre of towns and cities, giving easy access to explore or take a tour. On this particular itinerary – Vienna to Budapest – the aim was to experience cake and coffee whenever possible. I definitely suceeded in this mission.
So, the bottom line is that I want to use my passion for travel to help you have the best experience wherever you want to go.
