Jamaica: The Original Bond Island 🇯🇲

Jamaica has been part of the James Bond story from the very beginning.

It was here that Ian Fleming created 007, writing the Bond novels from his Jamaican home, GoldenEye. The island later became one of the earliest and most memorable filming locations in the Bond films — from the beaches of Dr. No to the waterfalls of Thunderball and Jamaica’s return to the screen in No Time To Die.

But Jamaica is far more than a Bond backdrop.

Follow in the footsteps of 007, discover the places that inspired Ian Fleming, and then stay awhile to experience the real Jamaica — its turquoise coastline, lush mountains, waterfalls, wildlife, culture, food and unmistakable Caribbean spirit.

Whether you’re planning a dedicated Bond adventure or simply want to add a little 007 magic to your Jamaican holiday, there’s plenty to explore. 🐸🇯🇲

🎬 Bond on Location

From the first Bond film to 007’s return to Jamaica decades later… explore some of the island’s most memorable cinematic locations.

Laughing Waters – Where Bond Met Honey Ryder

Step into the scene that launched a legend

Located near Ocho Rios on Jamaica’s north coast, Laughing Waters is associated with one of cinema’s most famous moments: Honey Ryder, played by Ursula Andress, emerging from the sea in Dr. No (1962).

The beach and its waterfall make this a memorable stop for James Bond fans exploring Jamaica’s cinematic heritage.

Thunderball at YS Falls
Jamaica’s spectacular YS Falls appeared in Thunderball. Today, it’s an attraction in its own right, with swimming, ziplining, tubing and rope swings — so this fits your Adventure Travel angle perfectly.

No Time To Die
Bond returned to Jamaica in No Time To Die, with locations including Kingston and Port Antonio. Bond’s Jamaican retreat was created around a private beach near Port Antonio.

🎥 Walk in the Footsteps of 007

Jamaica isn’t just the birthplace of James Bond — it has been part of his cinematic story from the very beginning.

From the beaches of Dr. No to the waterfalls of Thunderball and the tropical landscapes of No Time To Die, Jamaica has provided the backdrop for some of 007’s most memorable adventures.

Today, you can explore many of the island’s Bond connections while discovering the landscapes, culture, food and adventures that make Jamaica so much more than a film location.

🇯🇲 Your Jamaica Adventure

Whether you’re following 007’s footsteps, discovering the places that inspired Ian Fleming, or simply looking for a beautiful Caribbean escape, Jamaica offers plenty of ways to make the journey your own.
