Expedition cruising is more immersive than tradional cruising and goes to destinations such as Antartica, Galapagos, British Isles, Norway etc. It is a different type of cruising to those that are known to go to somewhere like the Caribbean. They tend to be smaller ships, which works well in these types of destinations. Smaller ships means they can go places other ships can’t go. It also means that in places such as Antarctica, which has restrictions on numbers of visitors, everyone has the chance to get off the ship and do different activities at the same time.
