I started travelling at the age of 18 out of curiosity. As a child my family had holidays all over the UK in holiday camps, camping, caravan and on the canals inba narrowboat.
As a newly independent adult, I wanted to go further afield and definitely out of the UK and it’s unpredictable weather. I also wanted to leave behind camping and caravaning and experience the joy of hotels. Or at least accommodation with a bathroom attached.
Most of my adult travels have been solo, which is quite a challenge pricewise. Looking for good deals as a solo traveller led me to visit some amazing destinations though, such as Egypt to see the Vally of the Kings and sail on the Nile. As well Goa and Kerela in India, Cuba where I spent three weeks discovering so many amazing places and exploring some lesser visited Euopean destinations such as Mostar, Sarajevo and Bar.
Where have I visited?

Egypt – a stay in Luxor plus a cruise on the Nile
Nigeria – lived and worked for over 6 years
